Rue Hass
I live in Boulder, Colorado, where the vast plains of the southwestern US rise to meet the majestic Rocky Mountains. My husband Timothy and I have two adult daughters and four grandchildren.
I have always been devoted to animals and the earth. I have a feral rescue black cat who is my witch’s familiar. (He is learning to be familiar, I am learning to be a witch!)
I was part of the Findhorn community and administration in Scotland from 1974-1981, where I also met David Spangler. I have been deepening into Incarnational Spirituality ever since.
Over the years I have sought extensive, deep training in psycho-spiritual philosophy, hypnosis, NLP, and Energy Psychology therapies.
I wrote several books on energy medicine and spirituality, subtle perception, working with pain, fibromyalgia, and the highly sensitive temperament. I have taught these topics internationally, with individuals, groups and organizations.
Over the years, my study and practice in energy psychology work has melded with my deep Incarnational Spirituality training, to emerge as what I call Energy Tending.
I think of Energy Tending as heartfully tending the complex and vibrant garden of our human incarnation and its Commons, mindful that the energy field that we create in every moment changes the world around us. This change ripples out endlessly, shaping everything it touches.
I have always loved learning about spiritual concepts. But just having the right words or discipline/practice is never enough for me. I have a deep thirst for translating the deepest spiritual concepts, awareness and information, that I read or hear about or intuit, into an actual felt sense. And then I translate this knowing into practical grounded magic in the real world, through words and actions and structure that help people to discover this truth in themselves.
Along those lines, my teaching FOCUS is on working with subtle perception and sacred sovereignty, and studying the deeper capacity that shapes each of us to express the power, creativity and magic of being human.
My teaching STYLE is open and welcoming. I love creating a class environment as a co-creative holding space. When it is all working well, it feels clear, grounded, intuitive, flexible and fun. Someone described me as a teacher as being "very natural and easy. Quirky, interesting and warm.”
Developing and teaching classes in Incarnational Spirituality is the deepest, most personally nourishing (and fun!) work I have ever done.
