Ron Hays

Ron is an ordained Lorian priest and a long-time member of the Lorian Board. He has a lifelong interest in spiritual spiritual disciplines, having spent years in spiritual communities founded by G.I. Gurdjieff’s students. He went on to learn shamanic practices from Michael Harner before encountering Incarnational Spirituality, where he found his spiritual home.

During his professional career, he founded several construction-related businesses. He was an early pioneer in the solar industry and the natural construction movement, building the first permitted clay-straw house in Oregon.

He holds a degree in environmental science with a focus on riparian ecology and has studied herbalism with a well-known herbalist.

From early childhood, his passion has been the outdoors—camping, hiking, and observing the world around him. He is particularly drawn to the botanical world, learning to identify the trees and plants around him first. Then, he studied their medicinal properties. Now, he is discovering their physical and subtle ecological relationships with one another.

Over the past decade, he has developed a working relationship with the members of the Sidhe. He has made several gates or portals in practice with them, which are featured on Elven Gates's website. He also created the Portal Connect website, which provides more information about the Sidhe to the larger public.

Ron and his wife Christy live on nine beautiful acres in the foothills of the Cascades east of Portland, Oregon. Together, they have fostered a deep connection with the land and share it with innumerable trees, birds, insects, fish, and fungi. Currently, they also share it with two dogs, two cats, two ducks, and one horse.
