The idea of a “Commons” in Incarnational Spirituality refers to an intentionality of caring and connection that underlies and fills the interaction of all life in our world. Sensing into this shared intention, we can notice that this energetic, subtle environment is actively loved by all beings participating within it.
Lorian, along with many other global and local organizations, groups, and individuals, is part of a wave of builders of this new subtle and energetic environment of loving and connectedness.
One of David Spangler’s Subtle Colleagues offered this perspective on the opportunity of these current times:
What is increasing in the world is the pressure to create wholeness, which, I might say, is a pressure of love seeking greater expression. The human consciousness on its own by itself is insufficient to handle this developing energy environment without forming greater alliances with the life of the world around you. You must learn to inhabit the world in a more interconnected and loving way. Incarnational Spirituality is a design project to imagine and create new structures of connection to allow this to happen.
That these structures of connectedness and wholeness are based on love is without question. They are also based on freedom and the sovereignty of the individual, for these create a strength of being and intention that form strong fibers that can withstand the increasing pressure. They are based on partnership, which weaves these strong fibers together into a planetary garment sufficient to the needs.
The Gaian Commons Community opens a new way to participate as an active partner within this larger whole that is creating the foundation for a new future to stand on. Our intent is to build a generative field that supports each person in their incarnation and in growing this field of relationship with the world.

Be inspired
Each of us is part of this underlying flow of caring and connection. The “Commons” isn’t just the emerging shared energy field of the local environment; it also includes each other. Seeing, honoring, and drawing out the potentials held within every one of us, and within each type of life, builds our understanding of Life as a Commons.
How? Participate in a monthly webinar on ‘Energy Tending’ with Rue Hass. Enjoy a regular once-a-month special event such as a live interview webinar with James Tousignant and special guests, or an exploration of incarnational principles with David Spangler.
Be Generative
Each of us helps to incarnate the Commons field with our presence and our activity. It is an act of weaving - each sharing ourselves, in collaboration, in mutually empowering ways, generating a commonly held field of living energy that can nourish everything around us.
How? Explore new ways to bring your love and caring into action in Fellowship Circle meditations with Freya Secrest, a Sidhe card reading with Jeremy Berg, or a shared Subtle Activism session using the new Subtle Activism Card Deck.
