The Lorian Still Point

Dear Friends,

Beginning in June 2025, Lorian will be suspending all our Core Studies Classes and our Presence Classes until January 2026; during this time no new classes will be started. The current long-term Gaian Adventure class will continue uninterrupted as scheduled.

Why are we taking these steps?

Lorian began fifty years ago in partnership with the subtle and spiritual worlds. This partnership led to the development of Incarnational Spirituality. Throughout these fifty years, listening to the movement and direction of spirit within us and within the world has been important and has successfully guided Lorian in its work.

We feel there is a powerful new wave of spiritual energy and Light coming into the earth, one that is initiating significant changes in consciousness. By creating an inner still point organizationally, as well as personally, we are undertaking a seven-month period of active attunement and listening to the future and to the spirit that seeks emergence in service to our time. By temporarily pausing our classes, we expect to create an open space for something new to emerge that can engage creatively with the changes happening in our world.

Incarnational Spirituality provides a foundation for navigating these changes and unfolding these potentials. It is truly oriented towards embodying the spiritual energy of the future now. How Lorian may best participate in and contribute to this unfoldment is what we want to discern and discover by pausing our existing educational programs.

With all the challenges and crises in the world, the collective energy is chaotic. The spiritual “note” of the emerging world itself is unclear and is sorting itself out; without deep attunement, it’s hard to know just where and how to direct and harmonize Lorian’s own energies to be most effective.

For this reason, as an organization, we believe that a time of active listening is required to know how best to proceed for our next fifty years. We are called to create a still field of reflection in which we may better hear the voice of spirit.

We see this as a courageous process of deepening and refreshment, not one of dormancy. Lorian enters this period vital and strong and in good financial and organizational shape with an active educational program. However, this is a time for listening to what is calling us into the future. A caterpillar cannot become a butterfly without a chrysalis.

We want and need to take time to affirm stillness and the power of dedicated listening to the inner voice of the Sacred. This listening has always been Lorian’s way. By being true to this core practice, we hope to bring the power of Lorian’s voice and the gifts of IS even more clearly and with greater blessings into our world.

During this period, we invite you to enter this time of listening with us should you be so inclined. We still expect to produce a newsletter twice a month which will continue to provide notes of inspiration and connection but without class announcements. In this way, we can keep in touch. The Lorian Commons will also remain open with opportunities for support with IS books and materials through self-study offerings, private mentoring, and shared meditations.
