Lorian Education Policies

Participant Agreement of Confidentiality

In our classes and forums, we seek to create an online learning community that is of mutual benefit to all of us and that supports our learning process.

Individuals who participate in a class, including instructors, are asked to abide by the following Covenant of Confidentiality to support the privacy of each class session. This contributes to a safe sharing space that allows all to trust that their thoughts and experiences will be respectfully held. We ask that no material is shared outside of the class group without first obtaining the writer’s permission.

We take seriously our responsibility to honor all of our participants as well as the integrity of our spiritual work. Your participation in a Lorian Education class site confirms your agreement with the following Covenant of Confidentiality.

Covenant of Confidentiality

  1. I agree to support and treat fellow learners with honor and respect in all communications and empower trust and sharing between all participants.

  2. I agree to participate and respond in lively and timely ways to class discussions in order to sustain the momentum and energy of the class.

  3. I agree to build an atmosphere of safety, trust and security by keeping all material shared within this online site strictly confidential. (Please ask permission to share any material posted by faculty or other participants before sharing it with anyone outside the class.)

  4. I will not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually-oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or otherwise violates any law.

  5. I agree to respect copyright laws.

Any breach of this covenant is grounds for removal from the site.

Do you allow late registrations?

We know that people sometimes realize that they have forgotten to sign up for one of our classes and wonder if it is too late to do so. At the discretion of the faculty, you may register for a class after the start date of the class.

What is your refund policy?

If, for any reason, we must cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.

Lorian Gaian Commons Community: The Gaian Commons Community is paid on a subscription basis. You may join at any time during the year. If you wish to withdraw, you will be responsible for your subscription fees up to and including the month in which we receive your withdrawal request.

Year-Long Programs: Year Long Programs are paid on a month-by-month basis. You may join only at the beginning of a program.
