Deepening into Nature - Fall 2024

Deepening into Nature

fall 2024

with Ron Hays, Deb scrivens, & Mindy Springer

The Celebration of Abundance

Overview

october 16 - november 7

We show up and our participation generates a mutual conversation with the living world. A conversation that can unfold anywhere and at any time. Nature’s living web responds to the vibrations of our care and love. In our openness to the palette of color, texture, scale, movement, depth, and diversity of the natural world, we bring ourselves into a closer encounter with our Gaian source, and our light within.

Explore with us! Discover fascinating new wonders of the living world flying, flowing, and flourishing in the environment of gardens, parks, and wildlands near you.

Join Ron, Deb, and Mindy and bring your curiosity and delight to the vibrantly living world of Fall in nature.

Ron Hays, Mindy Springer, and Deb Scrivens chat about the class.

Description

Fall is the time of harvesting nature’s summer vibrance in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer’s shades of green become autumn’s gold. High above, flocks of migrating birds wing their way to warmer grounds. Insects snuggle between the crevices in bark or burrow in the ground, lying dormant during the cold months. This is the season of gratitude for the harvest of life.

The Deepening Into Nature series of classes melds our enhanced outer senses with the inner awareness of our generative light. As humans incarnating upon Gaia, we have an innate connection to the natural world. This relationship with all of life calls us to recognize ourselves as a strand of the living web of life - a web of light woven into every being. With soft vision, we see the world with new eyes. With ears attuned to the softest vibration or the loudest noise, the chatter of life becomes a chorus of discovery. Nature reveals itself. We know ourselves not as composers or conductors but as members of a choir harmonizing with all voices around us.

Like our preceding classes, our Fall session will focus on developing our naturalist abilities as we play and explore terra, the living substance of the land - the physical earth, the unique character of the Hawaiian Islands, and the gratitude we can hold for the abundance of love and joy that flows from nature to the human community.

Class Format

During our three weeks, we will host three online gatherings to communicate and share our practices. During the weeks between the presentations, we will hold open ‘Chat Times’ to discuss our explorations of nature together. The Fall Session of Deepening Into Nature 2024 is the third of four Deepening classes, each one with a theme appropriate for the season. You may participate in a single class or the remaining classes - Fall, and Winter (held in 2025).

We invite you into our exploration together.

I find the class magical - the vibe, the mix of science, poetic vision, and spirituality.
