Lorian's programs in Incarnational Spirituality are like a breath of fresh air. I have learned to engage my whole self-heart, mind, body, soul and personality-in creative partnership with the world as it is. I find an intimate space of generativity opening within me that supports my relationships and passion for my work in integral ecology. Thank you David and the loving Lorian faculty!" —AA, WA

There is something basically useful about all of this. The class offered a framework that was structured in a safe way with a demonstration of a path for connection that works." —KL, UK

The class gave me reassurance that I am moving in the right direction because it helped me feel more of myself. The tools offered strengthened my own inner knowing." —EJ, UK, France

We have been–and still are–in a time of alarms and noises, posturings and persuasions, tumult and tempest. To be of service in the world today, we must stand in a place of calm steadiness. In the midst of the storm, we must take time to look beyond to the mountains and the stars, the ancestors and the descendents and just appreciate the vastness of the world and of time and cosmos in which we live. Whatever happens tomorrow, the sun will rise, clouds will form, rain will fall, creatures will be born and die, and life goes on. We will love and create, our inner power undimmed, our spirit as Sacred as ever." —David Spangler

An Introduction to Connective Inquiry – A Lorian Discovery Class

Exploring our Incarnation through Engaging our World

 Two Week Online Class

August 19 – 30, 2017

CLASS DESCRIPTION

An inner colleague of David once remarked that “the problem with humanity is that you’re not incarnated enough.”  This being meant that humanity was not connected enough with its world. This lack of connectedness is with ourselves, with each other, with the natural world around us, and with the subtle realms that are the extended ecology of the Earth.  Because of this disconnection, we have difficulty in experiencing or creating wholeness and are instead creating its opposite— division, fragmentation, and incoherency— within the life of the planet.

The work of Incarnational Spirituality is all about creating connections that foster wholeness and presence.  David’s original inner mentor, John, taught him a way of engaging with the subtle worlds (and by extension with the physical world as well) that was based on sovereignty and love, a reaching out to and connecting with the “other,” whatever or whoever that might be, in an appreciative and hospitable way.  David describes this way of engaging and exploring the world, as Connective Inquiry.

This discovery course, Connective Inquiry, introduces a way of engaging the world through love that fosters connection and wholeness, enhancing the incarnation of Gaia. It is a form of action. It is about creating a connectedness from which wholeness can emerge. Forming connections based on love, appreciation, sovereignty, and understanding and allowing the world: the moment, the situation, the “other” to be exactly as it is.  When we can look at the ‘other’ in this compassion and respect, it opens up to us—and it opens up in us a new way of ‘seeing’ based on love.

CLASS FORMAT

The course is comprised of four live video class sessions (interspersed with practice time on your own schedule), downloadable written and audio presentation of exercises, and opportunity for online discussion. The video class sessions are recorded for your convenience.  Deepening with practice, each video class introduces another element of Connective Inquiry

Live video class sessions: Sunday Aug 20th, Wed Aug 23rd, Sunday Aug 27th,  and Wed Aug 30th,  6pm Pacific Time
