Welcome to the Lorian website.  We’re very happy you’re here, and we hope you will find many things of interest and use to you. 

     As you may have noticed already, this is an information-rich website. It’s designed to be an ongoing resource and tool for you to use in learning about and practicing Incarnational Spirituality, and for gaining insights into working with the “energy ecology” that surrounds us through such skills as energy hygiene, energy activism and manifestation. It’s also a portal into our classes, which we hope you will investigate and become a participant, for that is where you will find the full insights and training that Incarnational Spirituality can offer.

To make full use of this website, we’d like to offer you this guide to help orient you. It has three parts:

HOME PAGE:  You saw this when you first arrived. It’s our introductory page, and it states the overall purpose of Incarnational Spirituality. It also contains a quick link to the classes and workshops offered, and a link to the What's New items. Click here. 

ABOUT LORIAN:  This section introduces us, our history, our work and our Board of Directors. If you want to know who we are, this is the place to look. You will find a description of our mission as well as an explanation of what it means to be a spiritual research institution. Click here.

A NEW SPIRIT:  This section gives introductory information on Incarnational Spirituality itself. It describes what this practice is, its core principles, why it matters in the world and its cosmology. In this section you will find a growing collection of essays about various elements of Incarnational Spirituality. Click here.

EDUCATION:  Lorian is an educational institution that shares the results of its spiritual research through a variety of programs and classes. Many of these are taught online over the Internet. In this section you will find a description of all of our programs as well as an introduction to what the online learning experience is like. You will find a listing of our introductory Survey Courses, the Self-Study Modules that you can use on your own time and place, and the Lorian core programs in the Path of the Chalice. PRACTICE:  Lorian—and Incarnational Spirituality—is all about practice in the world. This practice is divided into two major areas: working with subtle energies (energy hygiene and energy activism), and working with spiritual forces (blessing) . This section offers information, essays and exercises in each of these areas. Click here.

PERSONAL SUPPORT:  Lorian offers a service of personal spiritual direction called “Soul Friending.” This section discusses what Soul Friending offers and lists spiritual directors and other counselors whom we recommend. Click here.

LIBRARY:  This section describes our connection with other organizations; offers essays by Dorothy Maclean, a Lorian founder who is also an internationally known spiritual teacher and one of the founders of the Findhorn Community in Scotland; offers essays by various Lorian associates; gives information about other teachers who are our colleagues and collaborators; offers essays by people outside of Lorian. In this section you will also find a list of Recommended Books, books that we use in our classes or otherwise encourage people to take a look at. Click here.

BOOKSTORE:  The Lorian Press publishes a wide range of books dealing with Incarnational Spirituality, the spiritual life, healing, personal development, fiction and other products. This is where you can find and buy any of our publications. Click here.

DAVID’S PAGE:  David Spangler is an internationally known spiritual teacher who is a “naturalist” and explorer of the spiritual worlds. His teaching on incarnation and working with spiritual forces form the core of Lorian’s educational work. This section provides compilations of his essays on various topics, links to colleagues outside of Lorian, information about his creative work and links to his blog and to his personal website. SELF-STUDY MODULES: This section lists the self-study modules available from Lorian. These present Lorian's main classes on Incarnational Spirituality and other topics in a format that you can use to study on your own time and at your own home. Click here.
